So, the idea of 'Sketchpages' evolved from a collection of motley, crazy, wacky, and interesting drawings made by me when I was on a drawing kick. These characters and their characteristics have grown until every time I look at them, I see not just my drawings but the spirit inside them. I am coloring the original versions, and if I can get this story down on paper in printed form and with pictures, it will be written down that Emiline, the main character and an avid artist, has drawn these portraits of those she met on her adventures. I still have yet to place on paper the characters that crowd in my head, but one of the characters I will refuse outright to draw is one of the most Key and essential pieces to the story. BlueJay, the girl who is always everywhere, will never appear anywhere visible other than your head. Emiline's excuse for not drawing her? She is too pretty and/or has too many enemies and/or has too many names and identities that it would be unfair to confine her spirit into one image. My excuse? I would prefer for this character, the most mysterious and intriguing, must never be seen so that in your head, she is always the images of perfect. I don't want any drawing of mine to taint that idea. In my story, almost everyone's secrets will eventually come out in the open. But BlueJay's? Those secrets are almost too many to name, and I am considering starting another story devoted to just her story. Inside, my dreams, her unknown pets, and many more mysteries await for me to invent and create. But for now, the whole point of this rambling blog post was to tell you that yes, soon pictures of the Sketchpages will be on my blog, and sorry, no pictures of BlueJay will be available.
STAY TUNED!
